So my partner had her first EC on Friday and was told to start the filgrastim injections 3 days after but was then told that it would be on Sunday
now that’s day 3 but in my head is only 2 days after so am a little confused and I’m also confused as to how the injection is supposed to be administered….. we were told to pinch the belly and inject from the side but as easy as it sounds is that to inject under the skin, into the belly fat or through the fat (the angle of the needle I guess)
we should of asked I guess but the whole process is very scary
Day 1 of a cycle is the day of treatment so day 3 is 2 days later.
You pinch up some flesh and then inject at a 45 degree angle, so yes, it’s going through skin into soft tissue. The needles automatically retract so it’s not as bad as it seems. Beware you might have pain in your bones the next day, as it is stimulating you to make white blood cells.
