Hi I have just done a Webinar on TNBC by Breast Cancer Now. It was a revelation to learn the changes of treatment since I was diagnosed in March 2022. It was also encouraging to learn of advances and research going on for TNBC.
I was slightly jealous of those now being diagnosed but that is the nature of the evolving world of cancer and medical advances. If one can be jealous of a cancer diagnosis.
All praise to our medical teams and all the very best to those who are being diagnosed now with TNBC

Hi CJW
Those on the webinar were asked not to share the link. I can only suggest a phone call to the support line at Breast Cancer Now. I spoke with them yesterday as the webinar left me with some unanswered questions and they were very helpful.
All the best
I tried to register for the webinar but it said it wasn’t open to those of us with stage 4 TNBC. The professor who was speaking was one of the leads on Keynote 522, which led to the authorisation of the protocol involving neo-adjuvant Pembrolizumab (with chemo) for high risk early stage tnbc.
I understand the NICE approval is for tumours greater than 2cm or with lymph node involvement, plus, for pembro to work at all, greater than 10% of the cells in the Biopsy sample have to express PD-L1. There’s also a similar approval in the metastatic setting for PD-L1 positive tumours, which I benefited from. So great news for those of us who express PD-L1. Pembro is no walk in the park. I am in remission, but along the way suffered significant kidney and thyroid damage thanks to it.
There have also been developments for TNBC with BRCA defects, plus the approval of Trodelvy as a further line of treatment for metastatic cases.
So a lot of development but we unfortunately still have far fewer treatments than other types of breast cancer.
Hi
Clearly your knowledge is greater than mine. He was clear the treatment was for stage 1 and smaller tumours. He gave research out comes for advanced TNBC. The presentation was for 1 hour which means the presentation only gave an oversight.
Indeed we more options for TNBC.
