I went to see the surgeon last week. After 16 rounds of chemotherapy my tumour has shrunk slightly. So I am going to be having a lumpectomy. What I hadn’t realised was I would be given a choice of the type of surgery. Honestly it was overwhelming listening to the choices. I’m going back to see a breast nurse who is going to go through the options again and show me photographs. After this I will need to make a decision. I never even considered they would give me the choice of surgery.
