I have just seen my oncologist to discuss chemo. One of the treatments she said was 4 cycles of EC (epirubicin and cyclophosphamide) and suggested 2 weekly rather than the usual 3 weekly cycles. I was wondering if anyone else had done it this way and what was your experience
thank you
Hi AJW2617
While I don't have an answer for you I noticed that you haven't had any replies yet so I thought I'd reply to you to suggest that you put the question into the breast cancer forum of which you are also a member as it's a busier forum than this one and there are plenty of people with triple negative on that forum as well.
Best wishes

Hello, I had EC every two weeks (they called it 'dose-dense') x 4, followed by weekly Taxol/Paclitaxel x 12 to treat my TNBC in summer 2021. It's hard to say how the experience differs between two or three weekly doses as I only experienced the former, but I personally didn't experience any severe side effects and found it very manageable. At the time, my oncologist said that the 'dose dense' regime had been shown to be more effective to reduce future recurrence. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask, otherwise, I wish you the best of luck with everything x
