Hi fellow warriors,
I have a question about typical time frames for Radiotherapy. I have had a lumpectomy already removing 25mm tumor and 5 lymph nodes. Later found to not be cancerous. I am now 4 cycles in of 6 (I had EC + Docetaxel) chemotherapy.
Can anyone guide me as to how long after last chemo appointment they were seen by Radiotherapy consultant? What scans or pre appointments you had and how long your treatment was?
Many thanks X
I had my radiotherapy planning meeting 19 days after my last chemo and the actual radiotherapy started a further 16 days later.
At the planning meeting it was explained to me what would happen during treatment and what side effects there could be. I then went on to the scanner where various photos and measurements were taken. I think I was there for about an hour in total.
The actual radiotherapy was over 10 days and from the time I got on the machine to when I got off it, it probably lasted about 10 minutes.
