I have TNBC and just finished my last Chemo. I have a date for mastectomy but they will only do one breast as the other one has no cancer, can I insist I have bilateral mastectomy? I'm so worried it will come back in my good breast
I had a double mastectomy with implants because I didn't have enough body tissue. The TNBC was aggressive and growing quickly. I have been happy with the result and was able to start the chemo treatments quickly. I didn't have any radiation.
I think every case is different and you need to ask questions to make the right choices for you. I am 71 years old in reply to melsbels. I am back playing tennis which was one of my aims.
All the best
