Hi everyone
Can anyone advise me on any tips for bad taste in the mouth after having treatment with Docetaxel. It is my first dose and my mouth is very dry, with a bad taste and not feeling like eating anything. Thank you in advance. And hope everyone is doing well.
Hi TNBC50
I'm just 'bumping' your post back to the top of the discussion list as I can see that you haven't had any replies yet.
You could also post this question in the main breast cancer group where I'm sure you'll get a reply.

Hi I had the same. I found sucking sugar free sweets from Aldi. Blackcurrant, lemon and cola. Plus Biotene mouth was was excellent. Not a nice texture but it soothed my mouth. The taste for food is something I had to put up with. It went back to normal after about a week.
Hi latchbrook
i have had 6 cycles of Docetaxel and I found the following helpful
1- pineapple juice
2- gargles with saline water
3- sucking ice cubes
4- using benzydamine mouth wash
5- using minty chewing gums
I hope this helps
