Hi, I have been diagnosed with papillary thyroid cancer for 5 years now. Had 2 surgeries (extended on both sides) and 2 RAI within the 1st year due to reoccurrence. My thyroglobulin levels have never been undetectable but stable at 3.1. Since October 2020 my levels have slowly gone up despite being extremely suppressed with my TSH suggesting reoccurrence. To date, no visible reoccurrence seen on CT or USS.
My question is, is there anyone out there with my rare variant of papillary thyroid cancer (diffuse sclerosing variant) would love to hear some other stories to give me clarity or hope
Hello, it's not common, but I did a quick search (popped 'sclerosing' in the search bar at the top of the page) and found a few posts. I suggest to try the same.
A call out to who has this varient and posted as long ago as 8 years and was still posting last summer. A lot of us drifted away from the site due to all sorts of technical issues and other issues, but if she's still signed up, she should get an alert that I've mentioned her.
(Apologies to tigerlilly for calling her out like this but the rare folks are particularly precious to new posters like EEC2016).
Best wishes
Barbara
