Can anyone explain what T3,T4 AND TSH IS
Hi Noxs
I can't help with your question, but I noticed that your post hadn't had any replies yet.
You could post this in the ask a nurse section of the online community and one of the cancer nurses will respond within 3 working days.

Hi Noxs
T3 and T4 are the hormones that the thyroid gland produces. TSH is Thyroid Stimulating Hormone. The hormones are on a negative feedback. TSH is what instructs the thyroid to make T3 and T4. When T3 and T4 are high TSH eves are low and vice versa

I wrote a blog about my cancer. just click on the link below

This link isn't about thyroid cancer but it explains the terms.
What you need to know most is TSH - which the doctors generally want kept below the level of people who have a thyroid - and FT4 (Free T4) which tends to go up as TSH goes down.
Most of the time, we're attempting to get TSH DOWN without driving FT4 up too high.
FT3 - nice to know, generally not so important for most of us.
If you want to post your results, happy to interpret for you.
Best wishes
Barbara
