Hi, I'm now 2 and a half weeks after my operation and been home for 2 weeks. I feel I'm making a good recovery although feeling tired quicker than I used to be, although I expected this. How quickly could I start gentle exercise such as jogging ? I'm fine walking and have a decent stamina now. Also how quickly have people been driving again ? I can turn my head fairly well but aren't putting my head up too much as I feel a tightness in my neck then. I'm waiting for an appointment with the hospital head and neck dept. Then at some point will be having RAI.
Thanks

In my definitions of 'gentle exercise' I probably would never include jogging. I'd need to have a bus full of free money sitting 50 yards up the road before I'd pick up my pace to even a gentle jog.
I'd say just listen to your body and you'll know when to do more.
I was driving as soon as my stitch was out but everybody has different pain thresholds and many will take longer. Anybody with a neck dissection is likely to need a lot more time
Best wishes
Barbara
