I had a tumour etc removed two weeks ago today. I’m struggling with my pressure in my throat still even though I know it’s been removed. It feels like I’m choking and the pressure sometimes goes to my head. I assumed that would go after surgery :( it is a lot worse and seems to come after I eat something sweet/sugary.
Any ideas on how to relieve it please?
Hi and a very warm welcome to the online community
I'm sorry to read that you're struggling with pressure in your throat. That must be very unpleasant for you.
I don't have any suggestions as to how to relieve it but noticed that your post hadn't had any replies yet. Hopefully someone in the group with the right experience might be able to pop in and tell you what helped them. In the meantime have you spoken to your CNS (clinical nurse specialist), if you've been assigned one, or someone in your hospital team about this?
It would be great if you could pop something about your diagnosis and treatment into your profile as it really helps others when answering or looking for someone with a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
