This isn't a "discussion" as such but it's nice to share good news and give encouragement to anyone on the journey which I hope I'm coming to the end of.
I had a lump on my neck diagnosed as cancer in summer 2019, with full thyroid removal in October. This was followed up by RAI in Jan 2020 and a strong of scans and blood tests.
At the beginning of December 2020 my oncologist informed me that I'm cancer-free. I wasn't invited to ring a bell on the wall - quite underwhelming. When I later went up our village church tower to wind the clock I resisted the temptation to ring one of the bells!
I have a blood test scheduled for March 2021 to inform view to reduce my daily thyroxin dose to 125 MCG.
