Hi Oban17 here, long time no see, oh and what a time!!!
So I go into hospital on Monday for completion, first side out 2017 for Papillary Thyroid Cancer. After eye problems that meant numerous tests, scans and consultants, my neurologist believes I have Paraneoplastic Syndrome. This is where my immune system has responded to my thyroid cancer by attacking my central nervous system. I have a suspicious nodule on the remaining side and he has recommended I get it removed. If I don't , the likelihood is my symptoms will get worse.
So with Covid in full swing, I am away to visit my local hospital again( feel like I am never away) Unfortunately in the middle of lockdown, my husband of 35years, I had been with him since I was 18, had decided he didn't want to be with me any more and walked out. So with the support of family and friends, I will get through this.
Just wanted to do a little post just to say hello and hope everyone is doing okay in these difficult times.
