Blood tests

Morning all, hope you are all well. I’m having a nightmare with my blood levels right now. My last blood test showed that my TSH and TG had risen so repeat bloods were ordered. The levels remained high so my medication was upped. I’ve since had another blood test and they are still high. Has anyone had this happen to them? I’m so worried that my cancer has come back. My medication has been unchanged since diagnosis six years ago. It doesn’t help that my cancer nurse doesn’t work on a Friday so I’m unsure what the plan is now xx

I was just reading through your post. I'm sorry I can be of help as I realitively new here to the world of Thyroid Cancer as i have just had my RAI but I just wanted you to know that you are not alone and I'm sorry I cant ans your question. Would you have an Endocrine Nurse you could ask to ease the worry.

Thank you so much for your message. I did manage to speak to my cancer nurse but didn’t really get any answers. More bloods and watch and wait for now. Thanks again and hope you are well xx

Hi , I’m sorry you are in a period of uncertainty right now, I hope you don’t mind me popping in, I have a different cancer but get tested for TSH but not TG to check for side effects of the medication that I’m on. I’m wondering as your question is a bit medical if you want to either phone the Macmillan support line on 0808 808 0000 it’s open from 8am to 8pm to talk or put a question in the ask a nurse section, if you’re having trouble talking to your own nurse.
