Hi All,

Had my most recent blood results, here is a comparison below:

April 2019                                     Oct 2019

TSH-0.20                                      TSH-0.52

tg- <2                                             tg- <2

Antibodies <20                              Antibodies <20

T4 18.2                                          T4 14.6

In the letter to my GP the consultant advised no change to dose. However should I be concerned about the changes to TSH & T4? I had 4cm PTC with possible spread to hip(awaiting another MRI in December to check if the 'thing' in my hip has grown before they will decide if it is in fact a spread of the TC).

Thanks

xx

  • No, I don't think you should be concerned because the Tg hasn't gone up.

A few years ago, the docs might have been pushing you for TSH to be closer to 0.1 but that guideline isn't being pushed so hard these days. How long is it since you were diagnosed?

    Best wishes

  • Hi Barbaral,

I was diagnosed in September 2018 but still waiting to find out if it’s spread to my hip.

    Thanks

  • Heya Mrs,

As Barbaral says, not really anything there to be worried about. That sort of a change could just be a natural fluctuation rather than something needing a dose change.

I can't believe they still can't decide what the thing in your hip is! I might be tempted, depending on what they say after the MRI, to ask them if there's any way they can take a biopsy of it. Get an answer for certain finally instead of this limbo you've been in.... Most of this year isn't it?

My fingers are crossed for you!

    Xx
