Hi
I have had 2x2 thyrogen injections in 4 weeks. Each time my skin has broken out and my lips in particular very sore and blistering. Is this normal? My skin is very sensitive but it has been under control for the last year.
Thanks
Heya Runner,
The answer is that no it isn't normal, but it is a known side effect. If that makes sense? Hypersensitivity reactions (hives, rash, itching, flushing, and respiratory symptoms) are listed in the side effects.
The best thing to do would be to call the nuclear medicine team tomorrow, as I assume they are the ones who administered it, and ask if they know of anything that would lessen the effects and make you feel better.
Fingers crossed you can get some relief!
Lass
Xx
