Hello, I had thyroid cancer three years ago and had my thyroid removed. When I had my nodule discovered the doctor said it’s probably benign but it came back cancer of course and it was removed. My TSH is been up-and-down but overall my Endo is keeping it really low. I never did the radioactive iodine since my nodule was small and hadn’t spread.
I recently discovered a lump about 6 weeks ago in my thigh which does not move and seems to be very deep but pretty small. I’m a little concerned that it could be a soft tissue sarcoma and although very rare there is some cases of metastatic soft tissue thyroid cancer. It’s probably unrelated but after Cancer I think a person is more worried about returning cancer. My last ta was normal in February.
anyone have returned thyroid cancer years later and anyone hear of muscle or tissue cancer from thyroid?
Hey there Mommy,
I've been here on the forum a while, and I've never heard of anyone with muscle or soft tissue spread.
It's more likely a lipoma, which is a benign fatty lump. By the time we're all 40, we have on average 6 of them. I've found 4 of them so far, but there's probably more.
Best thing to do is to head to your GP and let them have a feel. They can usually tell from that if it's a lipoma or not, and if they aren't sure then an ultrasound can confirm.
Good luck!
Lass
Xx
