Hi all
I had my RAI at the end of January, they said it was a low dose but the guideline was to not get pregnant for 6 months.
I found out yesterday that I am pregnant, it was completely unintended. It’s very early 3 weeks and 6 days. I only found out so soon because i got morning sickness and recognized it straight away.
Has anyone found themselves in this situation and if so were there any issues with the pregnancy?
i have an appt on Friday to see an endocrine pregnancy specialist so he should get the eltroxin dosage adjusted but a little worried about the rai
Hi Linda
I think this is one of those cases where you're going to need the expert advice of the medical team. I've been hanging around here for 8.5 years and I don't recall this coming up before.
We could guess but we would only be guessing. Hopefully, the endo specialist will know or will be able to find somebody who does. Instinct would say that you only had the low dose and it is quite possible that the advice hasn't been adapted since the guidelines changed, but you need an official professional answer on this.
Best wishes
Barbara
