I would like to know if anyone in this forum has had any side effects.
Had total tyrectomy almost a year ago I'm on 150 mg thyroxine increased from 100mg due to my blood test levels.
I have started having muscle aching on my high back its OK during my sleep but as soon I'm getting up I feel this burning pain I read the leaflet inside the med and it clearly state muscle pain as possible side effects.
I don't want to decrease my thyroxine from 150mg to 100 mg, because my blood tests levels are OK now my Gp thinks nothing to do with the tablets but I feel this problem has started since the increase of thyroxine from 100mg to 150mg.
Kind Regards.
Hey there Sandeman,
Welcome to the forum though I'm sorry you find yourself here.
I'm not a Dr, but generally the side effects aren't dose dependent. If you're going to react to them, then you're going to react to them at any dose.
I was just wondering though, have you had your Vitamin D and B12 checked recently? Vitamin D deficiency especially is one that seems to like to go hand in hand with thyroid cancer, and there's a number of us taking supplements. I'd def suggest going to your GP and asking to be tested, because both of those give you muscle aches and pains as you're describing.
Good luck!
Lass
