Hi guys, just received a call from GPs reception, have to see GP on 7th,my blood test to check for arthritis has come back with a low gfr,is this due to my TT etc?I'm on calcium and when I started to reduce the amount I got numb lips and tingling hands slightly so nurse told me to keep taking them ,or is it just one of those things XXX..Tia xxx
Sorry but I've never heard of that test. We're pretty hot on the thyroid tests but unless somebody here is also getting tested for arthritis, we might struggle to answer this.
As for the calcium, yes, keep taking them. That might get better with time but if you're tingling, you still need some.
Best wishes

Hi :)....spoke to hospital today ,it's to do with my kidneys she said ,have reduced my calcium to one a day ,see how I go ,they are hoping by keeping hydrated and less calcium I'll be ok ,hoping I don't need extra calcium,so no tingling hopefully!!!thank you for answering xxx
Ah yes, good point. Of course, you need to keep an eye on kidneys when you're on calcium. I should have thought of that.
Best wishes
