Hi
I’m just recovering from neck surgery to remove recurrent papillary thyroid cancer and they have confirmed mines is particularly aggressive. As this is my third dance with C they are discussing external radiotherapy as an option. I wondered if anyone has undergone radiotherapy on their neck and can give me an idea of what to expect.
thank you
Hi, my mum is currently having radiotherapy on her neck, she’s at Weston park Sheffield, they have a website with a video which helped, my mum has had 7 treatments and is coping well with it, she had to have a mask made which was the hardest part for her, the lady in the next bed has had 34 treatments, she says her mouth is sore, my mum has anaplastic thyroid cancer. The treatments are quick just about 10 mins.
