Hi all,

It's great to find a group like this.

So confused.com, hour and a half consultation. The tumour has grown and is butted up to the full length of the pulmonary artery and pressed around it and the heart. So he's not fond of running in with a knife. I've got to go for a MRI, echo cardiogram and eeg. I've received the risk assessment and given my authorisation for surgery the removal of any cancer in my thorasic/thyroid space. There may still be a chance this is a cyst. If so he said unless it's causing pressure it can stay. My main concern is that now the thymoma is touching the pulmonary artery and heart. There's a possibility of the tumour spreading. My blood pressure was high and had a stint in A&E coughing up blood. He's put me forward for a EEG to check it's not causing any obstruction. Anyone else been here? Feeling confused, when expected some conclusion.

  • Hi  and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.

I don't have the experience you're looking for, but I noticed that your post hadn't had any replies yet. Responding to you will 'bump' it back to the top of the discussion list where it'll be more easily seen.

When you have a minute, it would be great if you could pop something about your diagnosis and treatment so far into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
