Hello

ive just joined the group. Im supporting my partner who has recently been diagnosed with a Leydig Cell tumour in his right testicle. He’s already had the orchietomy, recommended when the lump was first found. We don’t yet know tho whether it’s the malignant kind or benign kind. I guess I’d like to know how other people cope with the fear and the mood swings-both theirs and their partner’s. And any insight into how to support someone with this diagnosis would be really helpful-I’ve never had cancer and I don’t have testicles!

thanks so much

  • Hi  and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.

I'm sorry to read that your husband has been diagnosed with testicular cancer and I know what a difficult time this will be for you both.

I'm not a member of this group but I noticed that your post hadn't had any replies yet. Responding to you will 'bump' it back to the top of the discussion list where it'll be easier to spot.

You might also like to join the carers only group, which is a safe and supportive places to discuss your worries and emotions with other people who have a loved one living with cancer.

It would be great if you could pop something about your husband's diagnosis and tests so far into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
