Hi all,
It has been nearly a year since my treatment for TC has finished. I wanted to understand if others have noticed changes to their remaining testicle. I couldn't help but notice my remaining testicle is slightly larger than before. No lumps or bumps as I had noticed from my now gone cancerous testicle. No pain or weight. Just bigger. Not sure if the remaining testicle has compensated for the loss of its partner. What have others noticed?
Did you get chemo?
I lost my level ball due to due to medical error, I didnt have a cancer, but my remaining ball is not growing more than 1 year after orchidectomy.
Hey mate, this is exactly the post I was looking for!! I had my right one out last June due to a 3cm classic seminoma I also had one shot of carbo a few weeks after. Now on surveillance and just had my 6 month ct and bloods and they’re fine. But I have noticed the same thing as what you’re saying my remaining ball is definitely a little bigger and maybe a little harder/ more bouncier like teahupo says. How are you doing now bud?? Hope all is well
Hey guys, I’m 31 years old and a little over 3 months out from an orchiectomy to remove my right testicle due to cancer. I still have “phantom” pain on my right side, but on and off for the last couple months, I do experience a stabbing or warm pain in my left testicle. I had seen a bunch of people in here with a similar experience and just wanted to put out some thoughts I’ve had that maybe some of you share. Keep in mind, my doctors don’t think it’s a cause for concern (I know this forum is not replacing medical attention). So, I do notice that when I feel this, it’s mostly only sitting down or laying; standing reduces the feeling but doesn’t get rid of it. Also it can go days without much of anything and then when it happens it can last for days at a time on and off periodically.
I handled my diagnosis, surgery and recovery just about as well as I thought was possible, but now this pain is something that’s really throwing me off my game. Never in my life was I an anxious guy, but cancer has really put my mortality front and center. When I feel this pain, the thoughts of the cancer coming back are hard to shake. I really appreciate you guys sharing in here. It has helped me through some tough times. Well wishes to everybody
