I had urgent surgery to remove a ruptured 14cm GIST from my small intestine 16 years ago, followed by a hernia mesh repair as the wound site did not knit together as it should. I had 3 years of Glivec, with alternate CT and MRI scans for 10 years. Discharged three years ago and have been healthy but I have started getting shocking pain in my lower abdomen which I can tell is in connection with my digestive system. It comes and goes but is very severe when it happens, usually after eating. It feels like a pulling sensation - does anyone experience anything similar and what did you do? Many thanks.
