Hi. Im new here. I was diagnosed with "lesser curve gastric poorly differentiated adenocarcinoma T3 N0 M0" on 12 August 2025. I am on a curative pathway but that could change, presumably.
My symptoms were gastritis and a hiatus hernia for which i have been being treated for 3 years. After a gastroscopy for these symptoms I was shell shocked to find out I had cancer.
I started on FLOT but after less than 10 minutes of the first round I had a bad reaction to the docetaxel and had it stopped immediately.
I started again in a few days with the rest of the drugs minus the doxetaxel.
I have suffered terribly with nausea and neuropathy, especially sensitivity to anything cold.
After today's infusions, the nausea has subsided to mild but the neuropathy had got a lot worse. I wonder if anyone else is or has followed the same pathway or had a similar experience on FLOT.
Kind regards
Lin
Hi Lin
I was diagnosed with stomach cancer November 2024.
I had 4 rounds of FLOT before my total gastrectomy then 4 rounds FLOT after.
Sensitivity to anything cold was immediate, neuropathy got worse with each chemo session, Nausea was always there.
Finished chemo mid august.
having acupuncture for my neuropathy in January as feet still not great, fingers starting to improve.
I would wear gloves to get things out the fridge and put the washing out. The cold weather doesn’t help.
take care
