She has been diagnosed with stomach cancer as the primary cancer and lung cancer which is aggressive and spread to the other lung. She is in pain and in hospital. We are devastated. What in people's experience can we do to help mum and each other
I am so sorry to hear about your mum. It’s absolutely heartbreaking and all you can do is be there to show how much you love her. Hopefully they will get her pain under control and she will feel more comfortable. Are the medical team offering a treatment plan?
It is so hard to come to terms with such devastating news, so don’t look too far ahead. Just focus on each day and spend as much time as you can with your mum.
Take care x
Jac
Thank you for your kind message, Monday and Tuesday we should hear more and find out about a treatment plan. Xx
Hi I’m so sorry to hear about your mum… you’ve got each other and that’s the main thing… my husband went to a Maggies centre and chatted to their support workers/volunteers. Ask your mums team where you can get support. You’ve also done a good thing in asking on here… I shut down and didn’t want to talk about it to anyone, so if your mum feels like that it’s fine.
Take care
Michele
