Hello, I'm diagnosed with stomach cancer last week,it's.like.a huge stone falls over my head and I am. reading here about the effects of flot and getting back to work, I am a massage therapist and done know if I cannot work with the side effects how I will live, how to pay my bills because no doctors told me I could stay feeling bad for days and not gonna have the power to do my job? Does someone experience the same problem? Thank you

I'm sorry to read that you've just been diagnosed with stomach cancer and I know what a tremendous shock this will be for you. Hopefully you'll find that once you know what your treatment plan is and you have a date for it to start you'll feel more in control.
I don't know if you'll still be able to work while having treatment but I've found these previous posts which mention FLOT for you to have a look through. You could reply to any of the more recent posters if you think they might be able to help you further.
If you don't think that you'll be able to work then having a chat to one of Macmillan's welfare rights advisers on the support line would be a good idea. They'll be able to see what benefits you might be entitled to. It's free to call them on 0808 808 0000 and they're available Monday to Friday from 8am to 8pm and Saturday and Sunday from 9am to 5pm.
