Hi everyone, newbie here, my partner has had a recent diagnosis of stomach cancer she is 57. She had skin cancer 3 years ago but they think this could be secondary from that but not sure as she hasn't actually been sat down and told anything.. She has had two ct scans and is going for a mri today. She had eight biopsies taken a few weeks ago from this growth in her stomach and it was confirmed by a phone call it was cancer on 19th March. We go and see the specialist at 4.20 today for all the results to see if it has spread, what stage she is at and whether it is treatable. We have waited so long for this day but it all too real now.
Update. My partner will be starting 'immunotherapy treatment' next week. Doctor sounded really posive, has anybody been on this treatment?
Hi not sure actually she will probably know more tomorrow whens she goes to appointment, I can't go in with her due to covid to her appointments and its all a bit overwhelming and a lot of information for her to take in, told her to write it all down. How did your partner respond to the treatment?
You should be able to go in with her, my husband came with me, as it’s a lot of info to take in. If not get her to record the info on her mobile. Good luck x
He didn’t respond well to keytruda but everyone is different. Chemotherapy OXCAP had a good response.
