Hi I’m new on here and as a 20yr old my life has been turned upside down when my mum got diagnosed with stomach cancer in October and then we got told that it’s spreading to her liver and we haven’t got very long left. I work full time and my dad is poorly with a heart condition. I’m trying to stay positive and happy but I just can’t any ideas on how to cope better

  • Hi and welcome to the online community

I'm really sorry to hear that your mum has recently been diagnosed with stomach cancer than has now spread to her liver. It's completely understandable that you're struggling to cope.

Could I suggest that you join the family and friends group which is a safe and supportive place to share your feelings and get support.

To join just click the link I've created and then choose 'join this group' on the page that opens. You can then introduce yourself and ask questions after selecting 'start a discussion' and join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.

You might also find this information from Macmillan on getting support and looking after yourself helps. Don't forget you can also call the Macmillan Support Line on 0808 808 0000 if you want to talk. It's free to call and available every day from 8am to 8pm.

    Sending a supportive ((hug))
