I have a stent fitted in my pyloric as my tumour was obstructing it . Initially, lt has been fine until a few days ago when the bloating and discomfort returned . I wondered whether the stent had moved or failed somehow. However I considered it may have got blocked, although I had only been eating soft ford prior to this problem, and at the time my GI specialist was on leave . I decided to immediately to go onto a liquid diet ie soups and blended food , and drank plenty of fizzy drinks which after 24 hrs appeared to have solved the problem. I have since spoken with my GI nurse who has agreed with myself , but is not sure why it blocked , but said I done the right thing to solve the problem . Has anyone else with a stent had this issue and how did you solve it ?.
