I just wanted to share my pathology results.
For those who don’t know me diagnosed 21st March, poorly differentiated adenocarcinoma with signet ring cells in the antrum of the stomach. Initial staging after CT, staging lap was T3N0M0.
Had 4 rounds of FLOT, CT showed good partial response following these.
Had TG 5th August 2024, got my pathology back today.
Clear margins, DOWNSTAGED to stage 1 - final TNM is T1bN0M0, no lymphovascular invasion, no perineural invasion, 61 nodes taken and all negative for cancer.
Partial response to chemo.
I’m so grateful and happy to share this news with the best bunch of supportive people and I hope this brings people hope who may be just starting their journey. Because I know how absolutely terrifying and lonely this journey can be. You feel like there’s absolutely no hope sometimes.
I don’t think I’ll ever feel 100% safe, as signet ring cell is a sneaky bitch, but I will 100% take this amazing win
