  • Hello Chief65

I am sorry to hear that you had an extremely bad back and are struggling to move. I can understand how frustrating it must be combined with your cancer and treatment.

I will pop a link here with some information that maybe of help. If you scroll down half way it will give you some information on the possible immunotherapy that may be used.

If you think it would help to talk through the immunotherapy then please do give the Support Line a call and one of the nurses will be able to answer any medical questions you may have.

I hope that your back pain eases and that you are getting some support from your GP for it. I am not sure if it may be connected but I had severe back pain during my chemotherapy and it can be caused by some regimes- so if you haven't had it checked- it is worth doing so.

I wish you well with your immunotherapy treatment.

In the meantime if there is anything you need, please do ask.

  • Hi Jane thank you for your reply, I’ve just had an MRI scan to ensure no compression on the spine and waiting for a CT scan to see what’s happening inside

also had a ultra sound scan on my liver and hall bladder, they are checking everything out, my chemo has stopped for a little while as I’m on antibiotics as my temperature is fluctuating not for their liking and checking for any infections

  • Hi Wayne

Am glad you have been having the scans to check it all out.

I also had to have antibiotics for infection during chemo and they do like to carefully monitor you, especially temperature. Sounds like you are being well looked after.

I hope the results come back quickly and that the pain settles, any infection is managed and you have a clearer plan for treatment.

In the meantime, we are here if you need us.

    Jane
