Just curious if anyone added Aspirin 75mg during their treatment? I know the ADD aspirin trial is still being conducted, but I’ve read some good things about aspirin improving effectiveness of chemotherapy and also preventing metastasis of stomach cancer
Hi Chloe28
Interesting in that I had not heard about the add aspirin trial, looking at the page here though I noted
"Until the final results of the study are available, we would not recommend aspirin is taken over the counter outside of the trial (unless prescribed by your doctor for a clinically indicated reason), as we do not currently have definitive evidence to demonstrate the effect of aspirin in preventing cancer recurrence."
I would suggest talking to your oncology team about anything you might take alongside chemotherapy there are a number of combinations that can make people quite unwell or just block the effect of the chemotherapy.
<<hugs>>
