Who and how to tell about my cancer

I am starting chemo on 8th May. I have told family and close friends. I do have a wider circle of other friends and I am fairly active on facebook. 200 friends on facebook and I am a member of a few wildlife and angling forums. Do I post ( friends only) on facebook to notify everyone of my cancer and treatment? Any one with good or bad experiences or advice.

I just did a post about mine, I mainly did it for awareness with me being so young and I wanted to make sure anyone else with my symptoms also got it checked! My only symptom was heartburn!

Thank you and it is a good idea to promote awareness. I expect to lose hair ( although I have little) but I have had a beard for 50years so my appearance will change.

My symptom was just a sharp pain every few days around my gall bladder / liver area but scans were inconclusive. I then started losing weight which concerned my doctor so a further scan and an endoscopy found the tumor.
