I am keen to find out from anyone if they used a Cold Cap during there Chemotherapy sessions. My hair is short, in my opinion strong, thick and i have a good hair line. Im of the opinion everyone wants to keep there hair, and im no different and my wife is strongly for me keeping as much as i can too
Just wanted to see if there are many here who have used this and if they think it is/was beneficial
Many thanks for the response ive had already really appreciated
Hi
I didn’t use a cold cap because it was not definite that I would lose my hair. In the end it thinned and was like baby fine hair.
I found the chemo sessions long - usually about six hours and the cold cap doesn’t always work. I bought a wig - which I didn’t use! I wore hats as it was winter. My hair began to grow back a couple of months after chemo ended and I kept it short while it grew back.
It’s not easy as losing your hair makes you look ill which I found hard to deal with!
