  • Hi  and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.

I’m Anne, one of the Community Champions here on the Online Community and, although I'm not a member of this group, I noticed that your post hadn't had any replies yet. Responding to you will 'bump' it back to the top of the discussion list again.

While you're waiting for replies, it would be great if you could put something about your diagnosis and treatment into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.

It sounds like you're going through a really tough time at the moment so you could always chat things through with someone on the Macmillan Support Line. It's available every day of the year from 8am to 8pm and can be reached on 0808 808 0000.

  • Hi I had my op in June 24. A resection so couldn’t remove all of it. Unfortunately missed on a scan in 2020 (now a medical claim)  was followed up by 6 weeks radiotherapy from T6 to LS as there is along syrinx as well

after the op I was mainly affected from waste down and couldn’t walk  however managed to walk short distances within 3 months with walker . Set back by radiotherapy in October, but again walking short distances  lots of hoops to go through but after being told wouldn’t walk again I can

any help and advice of how I coped and what I learnt I’m happy to share Paddy
