It's reassuring to have joined this site. My route here is through a lump at the back of my left knee. It started the size of a pea last August and by October it was like a plum. We all assumed Baker's Cyst, I went to the GP in October to get it checked and unfortunately she didn't touch it and agreed that's what it was.
My left calf blew up very swollen and lump painful on 27th Feb so I went to A&E and since then it's been MRI, CT scan biopsy and currently waiting to go to Leeds on 15th May for the meeting about treatment options. This is all like dropping into a parallel universe where time is immobilised isn't it? We all have new vocabulary we wouldn't will on anybody. Mine is a Synovial Sarcoma.
I have been very teary which is so frustrating because I can't communicate properly like that. I'm taking homeopathic Aconite for the shock and I think it really helps.
Apparently there is a clinical trial in Manchester which sounds interesting. My friend suggested I might get some help with all sorts of things so today I am having a good old read on here.
Hello Aunty Banunu
Welcome to the Online Community. I hope that you find it as informative and supportive as I have done.
Being diagnosed with cancer is such a worrying time and I found sharing my experiences with others who were going through similar really helped. Feeling teary is perfectly normal given what you are experiencing. There are no right or wrong ways to feel and I just recommend to go with the flow, get the information you feel you need and reach out for support when you need it.
I will pop a few links here that you may want to have a look at....................

Diagnosis | Macmillan Cancer Support- this has some information around being diagnosed and if you scroll to the bottom of it there are different ways that you can contact Macmillan if you need further support.
Emotional support forum - Macmillan Online Community- this forum is to support with the emotional aspect and a place to share your feelings, if you would feel it would help.
I hope this helps, I hope that your appointment on the 15th goes well and that you are able to find out what will happen next. I found myself that the waiting, testing and diagnosis part was hard but once I knew what the plan was I did feel like things were a bit more under control.
Take care
Jane
