Hi all, of all the strange things to come out of my diagnosis this is the funniest. At one of my initial consultations the doc did a Frailty Score, which meant nothing to me. Then at my pre op assessment when I staggered off the exercise bike the anaesthetist apologised for the term geriatric on the printout.
Proof if we need it that others do not see us as we see each ourselves. I turned 66 on Jan 8th so only just about to receive my first state pension payment. Well it made me smile.

Hi,
I have never heard of a farility score before but given I am nearly 62 but heading for being something of a wreck - chronic heart disease, ankylosing spondylitis and a enlarged prostrate I might guess if I was tested I might get a poor score. Still it is my wife with the LMS so at least I only suffer from that on a second hand basis.
Good luck with the op - and keep finding things to smile about it does make the day a little brighter.
<<hugs>>
Steve
Thanks Steve, still no news about the histology of my lung biopsy. Not sure if it will make any difference to the planned surgery. So many unknowns. Spent most of the week doing paperwork especially my will etc., It feels like I am clearing out my life in a good way. So onward and upward. Nanci
