I’d really appreciate any insights. I’ve just been diagnosed with my second BCC, and I’m feeling a bit anxious. I’m wondering if this could signal something going on with my immune system—especially since I have two first-degree relatives who’ve had breast cancer.
Has anyone here had multiple BCCs along with a family history of cancer? Were you advised to take any specific steps, like seeing an oncologist or undergoing further testing?
Thanks so much in advance for sharing your experiences.
I have had 2 bcc's on my face. Mum had 1 that I can remember and she had breast cancer too. My plastic surgeon did tell me that when you have had 1 bcc you are more than likely to get others, hence I have had 2. Great isnt it !!! Not sure you are anymore like to get other cancers as they do say bcc's don't spread, but who knows. xx
Hi, I’ve just been to dermatologist with a second BCC. I have at least a 6 week wait until I get it removed.
I had the first one about 9 years ago.
My father and my sister have both had one so I’m assuming it is hereditary.
I Also had breast cancer 4 years ago but honestly don’t think they are related.
Neither my father or sister have had any other cancers.
I understand you feeling anxious as I am too but I would speak to your doctor about it.
Do you get your mammograms done regularly as that’s how my breast cancer was picked up.
Goid luck with your treatment x
