I’m 54 and had a very unusual fast growing lesion/nodule on my forehead. From start to finish of seeing gp and surgery was around 4 weeks. I’m in shock and still recovering post excision. I can’t believe how extensive my scar is on my forehead. Ultimately I’m grateful for the speedy care. I’m three weeks still waiting for my results. It could be BCC. But they were concerned I had Merkel Cell Carcinoma. I’m all over the place waiting. Im sure it’s not unusual to feel this way. They also took away biopsy of suspected Bowens on my leg. Again, this is all really new. I’m not sure how to handle the waiting.
Hi Marie4B and a very warm welcome to our corner of the online community.
Waiting for test or biopsy results can be a very stressful time but I handled the waiting by trying to carry on with my normal routine and filling my spare time doing the things I enjoy. Everyone's different but it works for me.
When you feel up to it, it would be great if you could put something about your diagnosis into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
Do come back and let us know when you get the results.
((hugs))
