Had my first 3 month face to face skin check last week. Consultant was reassuring and really seemed to listen to my concerns, everything was better explained to me, I think that was because it was face to face. Everything was good apart from 2 spots/moles I wasn’t sure about. One was fine and then the dermascope was used for the other one. They kept looking at it and because of my history are going to remove it ,won’t be for 4 to 6 weeks for biopsy ,so thinking that means it can’t be that bad.

Hi 46 male
I noticed changes to a mole a few months back, a dermatologist looked at my mole with a dermascope, didn't like the look of it so arranged an excisional biopsy. I think every area has different waiting times, my biopsy appointment came through very quickly but I know that others have waited longer. Sounds like they are being cautious and hopefully it is nothing concerning.
Hi kaspiancce
biopsy result came back as benign. Very relieved.
thanks.
