Hi all im nearly 52, 2023 i was diagnosed with bcc on my brow i first was seen by a nurse practitioner who told me it was nothing to worry about, long story shot it was bcc had it removed after months of waiting. Ended up with an eyebrow half way up my forehead....be reassured it does come back down, I never thought in a million years mine would.
So im now waiting to be seen for suspected bcc on side of my nose less than half an inch from my nose. From doctors appointment to dermatologist appointment it will be 7wks, I thought it came under a 2wk referral due to location and past history?

I'm sorry to read that you're waiting to be seen for a suspected BCC having had one removed from your brow a few years ago.
I wasn't aware that a possible second BCC means that you'll be seen within 2 weeks, having had 2 myself, so I've had a look at the NICE guidelines for BCC and it says:
"Only consider a suspected cancer pathway referral (for an appointment within 2 weeks) for people with a skin lesion that raises the suspicion of a basal cell carcinoma if there is particular concern that a delay may have a significant impact, because of factors such as lesion site or size."
It does mention site as a factor so you could speak to your GP to see if they feel that they could change your referral to an urgent one if being close to your nose qualifies.
