LAMN2 WHAT EXACTLY IS IT
LAMN - low-grade appendiceal mucinous neoplasm.
Neoplasm - abnormal growth of tissue that doesn't die when it should.
LAMN 1 is when the neoplasm is contained within the appendix without any evidence of rupture.
LAMN 2 is when the neoplasm within the appendix has generated enough mucin to cause the appendix to rupture - although the amount of mucin outside the appendix is only visible microscopically.
