I was diagnosed for prostate cancer.some four years ago at the end of Covid. It’s been a steady rise in my PSA and now reached about 18 but almost been static for the last twelve months i.e. only a small increase. I was 82 when the cancer was discovered and have just past my 87th birthdate. My condition apparently is that of a man in his late sixties or early seventies. Some discomfort riding my bike lately but nothing I cannot handle. I had a whole body Bone scan in. January last and following a CT scan but no signs of any migration of the cancer.
Hello Hpldsworthbae5cb
A warm welcome to the group, although I am so sorry to find you here. 87 is a grand age and to be still cycling is brilliant. (My wife banned me from cycling in 2024 after a couple of falls!!).
From your post am I correct to assume that although you have a cancer diagnosis and a PSA of around 18 you are not/have not had any form of treatment to date for this?
Sadly PSA isn't age related as on my 66th birthday my PSA was 182 - although sometimes I feel like I am over 120 years old .
As Steve (Grundo) said, the more information we have, the best advice you will get.
Best wishes - Brian
