Hi,
I'm new on here and need some thought on my situation ..
2 years ago I had a PSA test which was slightly raised I was referred to urology and has an MRI which scored PI-RADS 2 .. I did mention
a weak flow and ED problems, my flow test showed as a post void 277ml . I was was signed off and told if I need to get back in touch do.
Nearly 2 years later I thought I'd have my PSA checked , to my shock it came back a 9.8 then on the snd test 10.8 .. I really concerned and scared. I have been referred back to urology for further investigations and wait to hear for an appointment
thanks all
Andy
Hi andydc91434f - welcome. Similar to me - except I waited 8 years after a PSA of 2.6 was dismissed. Anyway, don’t panic: you’re already on their radar, and this has been caught early (the urologist often waits till PSA is 10 for action). AW
Hi Andy
A bit surprising as looks like a 2: year gap between PSA tests although I could have read that wrong.
Slightly elevated one would expect to have 3 or 6 months PSA test.
Anyway good news it looks like low figures so if cancer confirmed then potentially easily treatable
Best wishes
Steve
Hi Steve , yeah its pretty much 2 years ..urology said I should get in touch if I felt the need too .. I presumed I was signed off .. thanks for your reply
