Hey guys,

Just checking this site out. Most others I have tried fell flat or in the case of FB were just too crazy.

So just finished radiation and am on hormone treatment - about a pain - first Post PSA test next week ..:)

For those who have been around awhile, have you or do you currently use Ivermectin or Fenbenzoale? I do, and have since I found out my PSA came back at 24.

Also, are most of you on Keto?

Thanks!

  • Hello Alex (

A warm welcome to the group although I am so sorry to find you joining us.

From your initial post I can see you have everything under control although I am unable to comment on either Ivermectin or Fenbenzoale as the only legal use in the UK is to treat parasites in animals. Indeed you should ensure your team are aware that you are taking these as they can cause a medication clash.

Without any PSA history I can't comment on 24 as this would be a high number if you have been on Hormone Therapy for at least 3 months before Radiotherapy. Can you let us have your PSA history please.

    Best wishes - Brian.

  • Hi  I noticed that you hadn’t had a reply to your question so thought I would respond although I have no knowledge of either Ivermectin or Fenbenzoale.  The internet seems full of amazing claims, personally I choose to take information from trusted sources and I did come across this blog.

Cancer and ivermectin: What people with cancer need to know

  • Hello.

My daughter is a vet and she uses these meds to worm animals of parasites. In her opinion it is dangerous for humans to use internally. A large dose will strip your gut and potentially cause serious damage. Cancer is not a parasite.
I did happen to see a very good discussion on You tube about research into this. Unfortunately it is an American website that we cannot promote on here as its not UK (#MarkScholz on Ivermectin ) Hopefully my post won’t be taken down for speaking about it as it’s rather important as it speaks about the dangers of taking animal medicines and that there has been reports of humans having liver damage from taking these inappropriate medicines.

So stick to the meds that have been well researched and meant for human use. These animal meds have been researched a lot recently as to if they could be beneficial for cancer and it’s not looking good.
    All the best

  • Hi BW, thank you for the reply. I actually did "a lot" of research on Iver and Fen. But one, I had no idea this was a UK only site? I do understand it's illegal in the UK so I will not push them here. However, I will tell you that according to my doctors more than a few ppl use them as part of their cancer. They offer a prescription grade Iver here now.

Surprisingly, My OWN experience has been that my liver enzymes which were very high for years (I likes my beer) have fallen not only into the normal range but are now on the lower end. I get tested 2x a month.

    :)

  • Thanks Brian!

To be clear, my PSA went from 3.5 to 24 in a year and a half - which indicated something was going on. This is before I was diagnosed. I have since completed 28 rounds of radiation and am on hormone therapy now.

To be clear I am using these on top of all the required treatments.

What are your feelings on diet? I have been on Keto for years - it also seems to be the diet of choice for cancer. Thoughts?

    Thanks!

    Alex

  • So you have to be SO careful esp on FB on what you listen to re: non traditional treatments. If they had their way you would be on every supplement on earth lol... so far for ME, Iver and fen have been fine. But I am looking to wind down their use since they are not cheap lol.

    Thanks David!

  • Hello Alex (

Yes, we are a UK based site however we do welcome Community members worldwide. We do however have to stick to tried and trusted UK medications as anything not in general use here in the UK can't be approved by our medical teams.

Personally I would have thought HT and RT to be enough treatments, they worked well enough to bring my PSA down from 182 to 0.60.

As for diets - well I put 3.5 stone on during 3 years on Hormone Therapy and that's with reducing my food and alcohol intake and plenty of walking. I have now reduced my daily eating and drinking as I have just (6 weeks ago) started on Ozempic which is one of the weight loss drugs. As you can see I am not a fan of diets.

    Best wishes - Brian.
