I'll apologise now if this subject has come up before. I have read the page on this website about Bicalutamide side effects and I can't find any mention of 'pounding in the ears' which I have read elsewhere.
I mention it because the tinnitus I have had since the mid-80's seems to have got worse recently. I started to take Bicalutamide on October 16th - and I believe it will only be for 28 days, so I'm nearly done.
Bicalutamide can raise blood pressure - and I think that the revved-up tinnitus could be a knock-on effect from that. Recently my blood pressure rose to 151/93 - quite a bit higher than it's been over the past year. Has anyone experienced something similar? I'd like to know in case a further course of Bicalutamide is prescribed.
Thanks - and have a great day.
Chris
My husband is in week two of bicalutamide and his side effects are nosebleeds though his BP ( which I check each time) remains low. Aches and pains on waking. Nothing in his ears thank god.
StellaStarf4a76e thank you for replying. I hope that your husband is coping with the side effects well. I think it's great that you check his BP because that is a good indicator of response to so many things.
Keep checking in with us - everyone benefits by building this big, complex picture of what we're all dealing with.
All the best,
Chris
