Hi following last meeting with Oncology and confirmation PSA reading now 0.3 OH started on hormone therapy. Tablets for 28 days with injection part way through and then every 3 months for 2 years - first one last Wednesday. Attended Rosemere Centre at Preston for planning last Thursday first radiotherapy session 10th April and the every weekday for 6 weeks. OH handling it all well so far and all the medical staff have been brilliant. Just hoping this will see off what the op missed . If anyone else is referred to Rosemere we don't confirm that parking for anyone undergoing treatment is free.
Hello Whittaker
Sorry to hear that you and your OH have to go through this but it's aimed at a cure. HT is hard on the mind and body - RT is just tiring. If you need anything - just shout out - I know I have been there got the t-shirt,
Best wishes - Brian.

He has coped very well with prostatectomy, so I feel sure that he will do very well with radiotherapy. They’re going for 30+ sessions so it sounds like full pelvis to catch all those local lymph nodes. I think that he should be cured after this double treatment! A year from now this will all be behind you. AW
