Hi
I posted on here a while ago.
My husband was diagnosed with prostate cancer at 57. Now after 7 yrs treatment, he has been told there is nothing more to be done.
He has been given less than a year.
Is there anyone in a similar situation, living in Norwich ?
Hello Bellageorge
Welcome back, although I am so sorry to find you back here under these circumstances. I am sure any Community members living in your area will be in touch. I appreciate it's news you didn't want and I am happy to help you with any support you and your husband may need.
We have a Macmillan Centre in Norwich and they will be happy to provide help and advice and the details are here in this link:
There is also our support line on 0808 808 00 00 (8am to 8pm 7 days). They will be happy to answer any questions you may have.
If I can do anything else for you please let me know.
Kind regards - Brian.

Thankyou. Just wondered if there were any informal groups for people in same situation.
Hello Bellageorge
Yes, perhaps it's my fault and i apologise, i should have directed you towards these two groups - both Macmillan Communities. The first one is:
Supporting someone with incurable cancer forum
and the second one (your husband would have to join this one!) is:
Living with incurable cancer forum - patients only
To join either group just click on the link I have provided. As the second group is an "only" group there would be a slight delay whilst your husband was approved into the group by Community Staff.
i do hope this helps.
Kind Regards - Brian.

Hi Bellageorge , I can’t add anything to help you and I am so sorry that you both find yourself at this point. Lots of us have been given end dates and are still around, remember it isn’t a precise science. I hope you and your OH are able to stay positive and make the best of whatever time you have left. Our hearts go out to you both. David
